Medical and clinical laboratory technicians generally have either an associate degree
from a community or junior college or a certificate from a hospital, a vocational or technical school, or
the Armed Forces. Hospitals are expected to be the major employer of clinical laboratory workers, but
employment is expected to grow faster in medical and diagnostic laboratories, offices of physicians, and
all other health care services.
