A bachelor’s degree is an academic award given to students that fulfill undergraduate class requirements in general areas of study ó like English, history, and science ó as well as specific class requirements in a major subject. Students should also check to see if specific programs, like nursing and business degree programs, are accredited as well, as these additional accreditations can help them stand out to employers. Ultimately, earning an accredited bachelor’s degree will help students go on to become successful employees within their fields.

They teach students to be independent, as most of the course work must be completed on the student’s own time.
