Welcome Royale!

I’m thrilled to have joined the ranks of contributors to Hat Toss. I believe this site will come to be an invaluable resource to those who are embarking on the path to life success and I hope that my ideas, insights, and life strategies will add some value to its readers.

First, let me tell you a little about myself.

Who I Am

I am a freelance writer and life fulfillment expert who specializes in personal and professional growth, life satisfaction, and success. I like to think of myself as a curator of ideas and strategies that support a productive and purposeful life. I use my own creative stash of ideas and experiences and try to format those pearls of wisdom into useful information that you can apply to your life that will make a real and tangible difference.

I love to gather and share information on how to achieve growth, lasting change, inner awareness, life satisfaction, clarity of purpose, and to help make sense of the true meaning of it all. I enjoy mastering new skills and enjoy the challenge of finding the most effective method to do almost anything. I also recognize the necessity and usefulness of sifting through the wealth of information that is available to us and choosing the appropriate tools to enhance life satisfaction.

I explore ways to maximize our time and energy, nurture our health and relationships, cultivate meaningful work and self-awareness, and express our creativity and spirituality, so that we are able to realize the very best of ourselves and live the most fulfilling life possible.

I will be a regular contributor to Hat Toss under the broad umbrella of personal and professional growth and fulfillment. More specifically, I will be writing on the personal development side about life satisfaction and happiness, passion and purpose, stress management and life harmony/balance. I will also contribute to the professional career side with topics such as dealing with conflicts, goal achievement, networking, improving career/work skills, and workplace productivity.

What I Believe

My motto is: “True fulfillment is about living a productive and purposeful life and having the good sense to enjoy it while it’s happening.”

I believe there can be more to life than what most of us are experiencing in this moment , and that finding that “something more,” whatever that means to us as individuals, is what allows us to enjoy a life that surpasses our wildest dreams.

How I Got Here

I didn’t start out on this career path. After receiving my bachelor’s degree in business from Syracuse University, I set out on the path to what I hoped would be one of success and happiness as I believe most of us do. I went about living my life, which for me meant starting a career, raising a family, while trying to figure out what I’m really supposed to be doing with my life.

At a certain point, I came to realize that my passion did not lie in the business arena. Though I enjoyed my career as a business manager and director of operations, it was not my passion. I began to look elsewhere, to figure out what other talents I had to offer, and what other interests I might find more fulfilling.

I eventually discovered that I enjoyed writing and found that I had at least some level of talent for it. Perhaps more importantly, I also discovered that what I found exciting was the challenge of finding effective ideas and strategies to help us all lead the best life possible. I jumped in with both feet and never looked back.

I started Productive Life Concepts, and became a freelance writer, blog editor, social media manager, and business owner.

What Makes Me An Expert?

I’ve never been quite comfortable with the term “expert.” what I do know is that I have learned many lessons through a wealth of life experience. I am a military wife and mother of four. I have survived college, navigated the career world, and made many mistakes along the way. I have learned from those mistakes and applied those lessons to become a better person and a better businesswoman.

I am also a self-professed information junkie, a book and technology addict. I have an innate curiosity and thirst for new knowledge that comes close to crossing the line into obsession. How better to use that life experience and obsession with knowledge and information than too ease the journey of others and provide them with some shortcuts along the way.
